ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Nikki Navarro is a survivor who traveled a long journey from brokenness to breakthrough and finally to redemption. She experienced multiple traumas and adversities in her life, but she refused to be beaten down and overcame the challenges she faced. Now she is setting up a ministry to help other women overcome the major difficulties and traumas they faced in life to thrive again and gain fulfillment.
As described in her memoir, she survived many unhealthy addictions, including alcohol, opiod painkiller dependence, childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, and infidelity. For a time, she engaged in reckless overspending and indulgence to compensate for her deeply wounded soul. But then she found healing and a warm supportive community in her church family, when she and her fourth husband found rebirth and renewal through their Christian faith. It was a journey from trauma to transformation where she learned to care for her inner needs by standing up for, loving, and forgiving herself. As a result of her journey, she has come to see herself as a warrior who wants to lead women to achieve their full right and fulfill their higher calling. Her ministry to women is designed to help women do this.
Additionally, Nikki is a licensed real estate and insurance agent in Texas, who became a top ranking agent, though at the time, she worked behind the scenes to support her husband and didn’t live up to her full potential. Then, after the 2008 real estate crash, she returned and became a top real estate and insurance agent, working as a team with her husband.
She draws on both her entrepreneurial spirt and her drive to bring what she has learned from overcoming her own traumas to her new ministry to empower other women and to this book.
The year 2015 would become one of total transformation, I had a suicide attempt in the Spring of 2015, I was placed in a
Rehabilitation hospital to deal with my painful soul wounds, there was no more running I came face to face a brush with death itself.
In December 2015, one day after Christmas we had a deadly tornado rip thru my hometown we lost everything, we were
Underinsured and we would come to know true unconditional love thru multiple community Churches and just regular good
Hearted people who provided, clothing, shelter and money, warm foods.
My husband and I never experienced love per say a Mother or Fatherly Love we both shared similar lives no Fathers in our lives, our Mother’s neglected me and abused me, my husbands Father was murdered at age 8, his young widow Mother gave them up
To be raised by his Grandparents who were not emotionally available.
At age 13 I ran away from abuse at home with Mother, only to leave with a man that beat me raped me sodomized me and ultimately
Abducting me into Mexico, living a life in captivity with inhumane living conditions, ultimately his own Mother a domestic
Violence survivor would help me escape.
This small narrative tells about me , if you too can resonate with my story reach out . Together we can share our survivor stories.
